vWLC not pushing all WLANs to AP
« on: March 13, 2017, 03:59:18 AM »
Hi all,

I configured the vWLC with version 8.0 and connected an CAP2702 to it.
The dataport is dot1q trunked. The managemnt port is also being used for data-wlan which is in native vlan.
I am although not able to push guest-wlan to the ap. This wlan is configured on the vWLC as well as it's interface in proper VLAN.
I can ping that VLAN from controller's CLI (serial connection) but I'm unable to ping it from the controller's GUI (which is native management vlan).
Somehow the ap is not able to get that info from the controller being that geust-wlan is a non-routed vlan. I tried running the ap on an access as well on a trunk port but no luck.

If you can ping SVI from WLC CLI, there should be no reason why you cannot ping from the WLC GUI. AP should be on access port unless you run FlexConnect. Can you please confirm if:
1. AP can ping WLC MGMT interface
2. AP registered to WLC
3. You can see SSID broadcasted by the AP.
