Title: HAPPY DAYS ARE AHEAD
Post by: adecisco on November 10, 2013, 11:25:08 PM
Well this is going to be a good news for potential candidate of CCIE RnS v5. Since the exam will be technology driven rather than hardware specific you are going to see more physical and logical topology driven exam rather than the common 4 switches and 6 routers that we are use to.

Where is the good news then? It is with current feature the GNS is going to have.."SWITCHING"! Yes switching functionality will be integrated. What this mean is that you can build any lab of whatever physical and logical topology without limit to switching feature that we are currently facing.

In addition is another feature called "On Demand Processing" which is really really cool..you can look it up here: http://www.gns3.net/on-demand-processing/

Indeed better days are ahead and nobody who have the desire to get the desire magic number will have excuse of not having enough resources to work with.

As we move on I will keep you updated of where we are on this as event unfold.

Cheers!

That is good to know. I haven't really use GNS3 for a while now as I used to run into slowness all the time so hopefully this will be a big improvement.

I think every forum member should be aware of what is happening with GNS3 and be part of it at the link below:

https://gns3.crowdhoster.com/become-an-early-release-member

I hope I am not breaking any rule as I am just any other member that have contributed into the development and hope all can join to enjoy what GNS3 has to offer as year run by..

Once the first set of software is out I hope to start running through some lab that I will be sharing with us in this forum.

Cheer!

With idlepc properly calculated if you have 2gb are you should be okay. But the more memory you have the better for you no doubt.
