Title: virtual WLC - https sites extremely slow
Post by: Ted on November 08, 2014, 04:48:12 AM
Hi

We have deployed vWLC 7.6.100 in a ESXi host following the Cisco guides and having an issue of when wifi users access https sites initial loading of the pages are extremely slow. There is a bug related to when having 10G uplinks in ESXi host https to vWLC management (when tagged) or any other https/ssl traffic may break. In our scenario we have 1G uplinks from ESXi host connected to a nexus fex which connects to the core switch via 10G uplink. No idea when having 10G links in the intermittent path would cause this issue. Does anyone came across this issue?

Note- Current vWLC setting is, Management port is tagged, Data port is configured for trunk (vlan 4095) with Promiscuous mode set to accept at port group level.

Thanks in advance

Ted

Do you have issue with other VM on that same ESXi server? What type of server is it? Is FEX single-homed or dual-homed? You might need to run packet capture to see why the page load is slow.
