Title: User Certificate Renewal for ISE BYOD
Post by: MC on November 21, 2013, 04:51:12 PM
Does anyone know what happen after a certificate on an onboarded device expire?
How does the renewal process work?
Does the user have to delete the profile on their device and go through onboarding again to obtain a new certificate?

Hi MC,

I think the below link will help. As at now I don't think Cisco has done much of it. The best way may be for the user to delete the profile and re-profile. But since I have not done much on MDM some are suggesting MDM as a way to manage the profile..

May be Cisco is hoping by the time user certs expires, they will come out with a better solution :-)
Looks like we should still use MDM to distribute certs to mobile devices but will have to see how MDM deals with cert renewal as well.
