Title: anyconnect unified posture - APEX licenses
Post by: Ted on October 08, 2015, 04:00:14 PM
Hi All,

Do we need to have the any-connect user apex licenses imported to ISE in addition to ISE apex licenses even if we don't use posture for VPN?

Also, if we use posture for vpn does ASA also needs any separate licenses?

Thanks
Ted

AnyConnect APEX is completely separate and had nothing to do with ISE in terms of license import. You need ISE APEX, and AnyConnect APEX if you would like to use AnyConnect ISE Posture module for Posture assessment regardless of wired/wireless/VPN. If you do not plan to use VPN, you just the purchase the AnyConnect APEX to get Right-to-Use and there is nothing you need to do further. Purchasing AnyConnect APEX also entitles you to all the AnyConnect VPN features on the ASA, in which case you need to fulfill the PAK with ASA S/N, practically as many ASA as you like since the license is now based on total number of users and not concurrent session of the ASA. Hope this helps.
